Michigan’s Finest

Aim High Sports is now home to the Michigan’s Finest Girls Basketball Club.  Michigan’s Finest is dedicated to being an elite regional and national level girls basketball program that focuses on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership.  Michigan’s Finest is one of the fastest growing clubs with teams 5th grade on up.

Tryouts

5th-8th Grade tryouts will be Sunday, September 22nd at Aim High Sports. 5th & 6th grade tryouts are 2:00PM-3:30PM. 7th & 8th grade tryouts are 3:30PM-5:00PM. If you did not previously register online you can still sign up when you arrive.

Concussion Information

As of June 30, 2013, Michigan has enacted a law that regulates sports concussions and the athlete’s return to activity. Click here for more information.

All coaches and other adults involved in youth sporting activities must now complete a concussion awareness online training program. You can find that training program here.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF A CONCUSSION

Symptoms Reported by Athlete Signs Observed by Coaching Staff
  • A headache or “pressure” in head
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Balance problems or dizziness
  • Double or blurry vision
  • Sensitivity to light or noise
  • Feeling sluggish, hazy, foggy or groggy
  • Concentration or memory problems
  • Confusion
  • Just not “feeling right” or “feeling down”
  • Appears dazed or stunned
  • Is confused about assignment or position
  • Forgets an instruction
  • Is unsure of game, score or opponent
  • Moves clumsily
  • Answers questions slowly
  • Loses consciousness (even briefly)
  • Shows mood, behavior or personality changes
  • Can’t recall events prior to hit or fall
  • Can’t recall events after hit or fall
